Corporate Support Internship

Internship Summary:
The sales and research staff in the Corporate Support Department identifies, generates, and manages corporate funding for Northern California Public Broadcasting, Inc. (KQED Public TV, KQED FM-Radio. Corporate Support Interns have the opportunity to learn how our non-profit organization generates traditional and non-traditional revenue. Interns in this department extend the efforts of the department by assisting with day-to-day requests and ongoing projects within the department.

Internship Duties:

  • Participating in preparation and delivery of the annual KQED on-line auction.
  • Researching and analyzing new business ventures.
  • Assists with NCPB Heritage Month events, event planning and coordination.
  • Helps to maintain the email database of clients and potential clients, including those clients who receive regular department news via email newsletters.
  • Assists with developing solicitation materials and proposals for account executives.
  • Plans and attends corporate and community events.
  • Performs other projects as assigned.

Internship Qualifications:

  • Interest and / or experience in marketing, sales, revenue generation for non-profits and business.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Self starter.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Computer skills are essential, including database and spreadsheet applications (preferably ACT) and word processing skills.
  • Highly motivated individuals with excellent oral and written communication skills who can work independently.
